Skeletons

Published on 17 October 2018

The children have been finding out all about skeletons. We found out that there are 3 different types of skeleton endoskeletons, exoskeletons and hydrostatic skeletons. We looked at different vertebrates (animals with a back bone) and invertebrates (animals with no backbone). We used Gonoodle! to help us learn all about the differences.

We were then tasked with making our own paper skeletons - this proved trickier than we thought, but we got there in the end. They are now dancing in our classroom and as one child said, riding the zip wire!

Please talk to your children about their learning as they should be able to tell you three reasons why we have a skeleton.
