European Day of Languages 2009

On Friday 25th September we celebrated European Day of Languages with a very enjoyable French Day.

Our dining hall was transformed into a French café, Café St. Pierre, which we all visited during the morning. Our colourful, clear menus were designed by some of our year 5 children and our year 6 waiters and waitresses did a fantastic job of taking our orders and serving us drinks and snacks - all in excellent French!

In the afternoon we were pleased to welcome La Compagnie Tête à Tête to school with their lively production called Le Bistro de Dan Roro, presented by Dan himself. We were treated us to juggling, uni-cycling, plate balancing, singing, and even some ventriloquism with Dans friend René.
The show was funny and helped us practise our French and learn some new words.
