School Allotment
On Monday 11th May 5G walked down to the allotment on First Avenue number 81. We all sat in the lush, green grass and stared at the gardening area. It needed a bit of work, but we can do that. We walked around the allotment and saw that rhubarb was already growing. We had never seen rhubarb growing before.

We got up from the soft grass to see other peoples allotments. They were all beautiful! All very different. A kind man talked about all the different vegetables and fruits. It was amazing how many he and his wife had grown. Our tip was to put nets over the vegetables and fruits or the birds will eat them. After our advice from the friendly man we set off back to our allotment to pick some delicious rhubarb, everyone got to hold one on the walk back to school. It was time for us to leave and we are all looking forward to our next exciting trip to the allotment.
