Hi and welcome to your PTFA page!

If you have not come across us before, the St. Peter's Junior School PTFA stands for Parents Teachers & Friends Association and is a registered charity.

We are a mixed group of friendly, enthusiastic parents and teachers whose aim is to put on fun events for your children and the family throughout the school year to raise money that is then channelled back into school to help buy equipment and fund school trips etc.

Having had a successful AGM in October -thank you to all the new volunteers who turned up to support us and the school- we now have a new committee. Thank you to Steph Young and Jenny Hardman for taking on the position of Chair and Secretary for another year. Thank you and welcome to our new Vice chairs (job share) Lisa Fletcher and Sue Robb and to our new Treasurer James Law.

We are hoping to have a few PTFA events in the next couple on months to cheer up the dark evenings...A Film Night, coming soon just after the half term, A Disco on the 16th May at the end of the Sats week to help the children decompress after their hard work and our Summer Fair at the beginning of July. Thank you in advance for your continuing support with our efforts. We are raising monies this school year to help with some of the expense of school trips, to subsidise the school theatre visit at Christmas and to update the dining room furniture.

New members to the PTFA and additional help at events are always welcome - many hands make lighter work! Our meetings are once a term (as advertised through school) for about an hour either at the end of the school day or at the Pub (although an extra meeting or two may be required running up to major events). Your children are welcome to come and be in the classroom where we meet to do some colouring and chat quietly to their school mates - especially if this helps with childcare. Do come and join us at these meetings and help us to ensure that what we do is a good and engaging part of school life.
