The children in year four participated in a wide variety of activities during maths week and were able to use their thinking skills to solve problems and puzzles. They enjoyed experiencing maths in different contexts and a particular favourite was the orienteering. They were suprised by the amount of maths we use on a day to day basis outside of the focussed maths lesson. They found the week lots of fun and hopefully have become more confident in their approach to numeracy.
